Writing Your wedding vows

Helping you find words that sound like you

Writing your wedding vows

Writing your wedding vows can feel exciting, meaningful… and sometimes completely overwhelming.

Many couples know how they feel about each other, but struggle to find words that feel natural, personal, and genuine when it comes time to put those feelings onto paper.

That’s exactly why I created Writing Your Wedding Vows — a relaxed and supportive resource designed to help couples move past the pressure of “getting it right” and instead focus on what truly matters.

Not perfect words.
Not performance.
Just honest vows that sound like you.

A relaxed approach to writing your vows

Your vows don’t need to sound poetic, overly formal, or like something copied from the internet to be meaningful.

In fact, the vows people remember most are usually the ones that feel sincere, personal, and real.

Whether you’re naturally expressive or someone who has absolutely no idea where to start, this workbook and workshop experience are designed to gently guide you through the process in a way that feels calm, approachable, and supportive.

Together, we explore:

  • meaningful reflection prompts
  • simple vow structure ideas
  • ways to personalise your vows naturally
  • how to move past overwhelm and overthinking
  • preparing to confidently share your vows on the day

Writing Your Wedding Vows Workbook

The Writing Your Wedding Vows workbook was created as a practical and thoughtful guide for couples wanting support with vow writing at their own pace.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • guided reflections
  • conversation prompts
  • real examples
  • vow structure support
  • gentle writing guidance
  • practical tips for sharing your vows confidently

It’s designed to feel less like homework… and more like a meaningful pause in the middle of wedding planning.

Vow Writing Workshops

I’ll also be offering small-group vow writing workshops in collaboration with selected local venues, including Hazel Lane Estate.

These relaxed sessions are designed to help couples:

  • feel more confident and less overwhelmed
  • reconnect with what they actually want to say
  • find words that feel natural and genuine
  • enjoy the process instead of stressing over it

The workshops are conversational, welcoming, and supportive — with no pressure to be poetic, perfect, or deeply emotional.

A Little About Me

I’m Kym Harris, an authorised marriage celebrant based in the Gladstone region.

I create relaxed, meaningful ceremonies for couples who want their wedding day to feel genuine, personal, and true to their relationship.

Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how much pressure couples often feel around writing vows — and how powerful it can be when they’re simply given permission to speak honestly and naturally.

That belief sits at the heart of both my ceremonies and this workshop.
